After the war, he create the Château Treytins vineyard. He passed away in 1959 and his son Michel, and his grandson Jean-Marc, carried on his work by developing these vineyards and putting a rational re-plantation policy in place after the frosts of 1956 and 1985. In 1989, the vat room and cellars were completely renovated to take advantage of the latest techniques in vinification and maturing wine, all in keeping with the best of traditional methods. In souvenir of the very old origin of his Garraud, vineyard the Nony family adopted the simple name of l'Ancien for creating a wine belonging to the highest level of the appellation Lalande de Pomerol. |

The family has also implemented an active policy of direct commercialization to French customers and exportation in several European countries, North America and the Far East. |

The Léon Nony Vineyards have an ensemble of modern wine-making facilities at their disposal, ventilated, air-conditioned vat room and cellars are ideal for vinification, storing and aging wine in vats, barrels and bottles. With a total capacity equivalent to more than 800.000 bottles, substantial quantities of wine from four to five different vintages can be matured and prepared for release on the market. |
